Landscape Architect/Project ManagerEmployerThe LA Studio, LLC Job DescriptionThe LA Studio, LLC is a professional Landscape Architecture, Land Planning, and Land Entitlement firm located just south of Seattle in Tukwila, WA. The office is conveniently served by both the Sounder train and Light Rail system. Our primary markets are senior housing, urban mixed-use, assisted living & memory care, public parks, hospitality, commercial/industrial and transportation enhancement. Our current staff size is (7). We have a full-time position available for a registered landscape architect with particular interest in fast-paced private development projects along with local parks and state highway enhancement work. The position will involve concept design and associated graphics, coordination with architects, engineers, clients, and permitting officials, preparation of high quality construction documents and involvement with the construction observation process. This person will participate in the design, documentation and presentation of streetscapes, play areas, courtyards and plazas, roof decks, specialty gardens, hardscape solutions, landscape structures, water features, signage and wayfinding, art elements, site lighting, and planting design. Please visit our web site at: www.thelastudio.net Job RequirementsA bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture; Professional registration; Experience in a private Landscape Architecture office; Advanced AutoCAD production and drafting skills; Design and presentation graphics with advanced Sketchup, Rhino and/or Lumion experience a real plus; Organization and preparation of quality construction documents; Understanding and implementation of sustainable site elements; Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, In Design, MColor, etc.; Good people skills – comfortable working independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team; Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Thoroughness and attention to detail.
